Two dozen injured as blast rips through university campus in Philippine

MANILA: At least 24 persons including students and teachers were injured when an explosion occurred caused by an improvised explosive device at a university campus in the Philippines, police said on Monday.

Police said that the blast occurred Sunday night in a school building housing security personnel at the state-run Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology, situated in Arakan, a quiet farming community on the southern island of Mindanao.

The injured, many of them in a critical condition, were rushed to a hospital.
