MAIDUGURI, Nigeria: At least 44 persons were shot dead and 26 others injured when suspected Islamic militants wearing army fatigues attacked them while they were praying at a mosque in Borno state located in northeast Nigeria, Dispatch News Desk reported.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning in Konduga town, 35 kilometers (22 miles) outside Maiduguri, the capital of Nigeria’s Borno state.
