Pakistan’s political party seeks nomination of US, CIA in drone attack case

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday filed an application with the Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Durrani seeking to nominate the United States and CIA in Hangu drone attack case, Dispatch News Desk reported.

The application was filed by PTI’s central legal secretary Barrister Suleman Afridi while subsequently IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued orders for initiating action over the provincial government’s request.

Meanwhile, a delegated of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government led by provincial finance minister Siraj ul Haq submitted a memorandum of protest to the US consulate in Peshawar against drone attack in Hangu.

At least six persons were killed in a US drone strike that targeted an Islamic seminary in Tal area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu district on November 21.
