Pak, US authorities hold positive dialogue on trade, investment issues: Jilani

WASHINGTON: Pakistan and US authorities have had positive dialogue over investment in Pakistan’s energy and other sectors, Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani said, Dispatch News Desk reported.

Talking to media representatives in Washington, Jilani said US trade delegations would soon visit Pakistan.

The foreign secretary said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in his meeting with US President Barack Obama will also take up the issue of missile strikes besides discussing Pak-US bilateral cooperation.

Jilani said Pakistan considers the drone campaign as violation of international laws, and the issue would be on the agenda of forthcoming meeting between Obama and Nawaz Sharif.

Jalil Abbas Jilani said the two leaders would also discuss economy, trade, regional security and ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
