ALGIERS: A military transport plane, carrying families of military staff, crashed in north-eastern Algeria on Tuesday, killing at least 103 persons, the country’s Annahar TV channel reported.

The military sources said that the plane was heading to the city of Constantine located in the north western part of the country, when bad weather conditions caused the plane crash in a mountainous area in the Oum El Bouaghi province.
