Inflation causes increase of utilities in Kazakhstan

Astana, Kazakhstan: Inflation is increasing in Kazakhstan and recorded as 1.5% during first half of year 2015, reports Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy.

Civic utility bills have increased and tariffs for cold water recorded an increase of 7.5% while sewerage bills reported increase of 7.4%.

Increase in prices was recorded for carrot by 11.9%, apples by 4.7%, oranges by 1.9%, dried fruit and nuts by 1.2%, fruit and vegetable juices by 1.1%, bread by 0.8%, pearl barley by 0.6%, semolina and pastry by 0.5%.

Prices for the services of recreation organizations increased by 2.1%, maintenance and repair of dwellings – 1.3%, hairdressers and beauty salons – 0.4%, catering – 0.3%; travel by rail transport rose by 0.4% while by air – fell by 0.5%.
