Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is boycotting Wednesday (October 5, 2016) joint session of the Parliament that is called with the consent of opposition parties in parliament to show solidarity with Kashmiris of Indian occupied Kashmir (IOK).

This session will also discuss internal and external threats being faced by Pakistan after unprovoked and constant firing of Indian forces at the Line of Control (LoC).

Addressing a press conference chief of PTI Imran Khan said on Tuesday that PTI will boycott the joint session of parliament, terming “it would be like endorsing Nawaz as premier which the party would not do so”.

He decided to boycott the joint session because he does not believe that Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif is the “Prime Minister of Pakistan”.

Imran Khan wanted that someone else should sit on the chair of the Leader of the House to attend this session. Interestingly, his party leadership sat with Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Nawaz Sharif yesterday in All Party Conference that was called on Kashmir issue.

Imran Khan does not accept Mian Nawaz Sharif as Prime Minister with whom KPK PTI Chief Minister Pervaiz Khatak sat for over two hours in National Action Plan meeting today.

Imran Khan does not accept Mian Nawaz Sharif as Prime Minister with whom entire leadership of Pakistan Army sat today in Nation Security committee meeting that was headed by Mian Nawaz Sharif as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Imran Khan in his press conference said that his party debated about the matter (of attending joint session) and decided to boycott the session because his party believed (believe) that Nawaz Sharif has lost legitimacy to remain a prime minister. He added that attending the session would mean endorsing Nawaz Sharif as the prime minister of Pakistan which the PTI will not do.

Previously I believe that Imran Khan does not believe Parliament, democracy, judiciary and any other civil institution of the country including the Election Commission.

Today I think that Imran Khan does not believe in any institution of the country including Armed Forces because Armed Forces accept Mian Nawaz Sharif as the Prime Minister of the country and sit with him to fight out dangers being faced by the country while Imran Khan says that the man with whom Army chiefs were sitting in National Security meeting is not the Prime Minister of the country.

I truly believe that Imran Khan usually lives in his own “paradise”.

I consider that even stanch workers of PTI and die-heart followers of Imran will feel difficult to justify his act of not attending Wednesday joint session of Parliament on Kashmir cause.
