“Hajis” would be even better than using pigs for animal cutting training, says US military trainer

Monitoring Desk: Terrible and horrific information have come up through some videos and graphic evidences about exceptionally inhuman, insane, indecent and cruel methods being taught to US soldiers during military trainings given by military contractors including Deployment Medicine International (DMI).

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) released a report supported by videos and graphics in which a trainer tells a room full of students that “Hajis” (referring to Muslims who have made pilgrimages to Islam’s holiest city, Mecca) would be even better” than using pigs for trainings. In these trainings, trainer cut and butchers pigs and other animals as a part of training manual for US soldiers.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is the largest animal rights organization in the world, with more than 3 million members and supporters.

According to PETA website, less than a week after it broke its disturbing investigation, Deployment Medicine International (DMI) has been indefinitely suspended from receiving any federal contracts.

Meanwhile Congressman Hank Johnson, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, has asked the US Secretary of Defense for a full investigation into the evidence of abuse released by PETA concerning appalling mistreatment of animals, racism and other reported abuse of soldiers by DMI, why DMI has continued to receive federal contracts, and whether there are other instances of misconduct by DMI and other contractors that have not yet been reported.

It may be mentioned that DMI president John Hagmann is a former medical director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) who had allegedly been involved in physically and sexually assaulting military service members in past. One can understand what kind of mindset and training this man had been giving to his staff and trainees when he was serving in FBI for a long time.

PETA evidences including video tapes and graphics those show extreme brutality and insane behavior of trainers and their abusive language against to US trainee soldiers, against animal right defenders, against women and against Islam.

PETA report exposed sexual assault and drugging of US military service members in details. In one of the evidence, trainer retaliated against a female student who was critical of live animal use during a DMI course by intentionally withholding the necessary instructions that she needed to practice inserting a tube into a male student’s penis.

He exploited course participants for possible sexual gratification by performing an allegedly inappropriate rectal exam on a student, instructing another student to perform a penis and rectal exam on him that he also videotaped, and manipulating and photographing a student’s penis in a warehouse while the student was drunk.

He demonstrated how to administer local anesthetics to a student’s penis to block pain sensation while the student was under the influence of alcohol and likely unable to give informed consent.

He dispensed a long list of controlled substances without the proper license or medical justification, and he instructed, authorized, or allowed unlicensed students to administer or inject each other or themselves with the substances and/or prescription drugs (including Viagra, ketamine, lorazepam, and others)

He directed, authorized, or allowed students to engage in so-called “ketamine labs” and “alcohol labs”—without proper oversight approval—which involved injecting students with a ketamine anesthetic and instructing them to consume excessive amounts of alcohol (such as rum, bourbon, beer, etc.) so that he could assess the cognitive effects of these substances.

He instructed and allowed course participants to perform invasive procedures on each other—such as cutting down to the connective tissue surrounding the bone and then suturing the incision, withdrawing and reinjecting blood, and inserting tubes into penises. These procedures were apparently undocumented, not medically justified, and not performed in sterile conditions.
