Thousands of demonstrators are marching in dozens of Spanish cities to protest against the rapid increase in unemployment rates and on the government’s economic and corruption scandals. It comes just after Spain’s jobless figure hit the 5 million mark.

Rallies have been organized in Madrid and 60 other cities, including trade unions representing the construction, car, television, police, and health services industries. The actions were called “against unemployment and for the renewal of democracy,” Said the UGT.
