Cupid and Love Carnival will start in Goa India on Valentine Day

 

Goa, India: Cupid and Love Carnival will start in Goa India on Valentine Day (February 14).

According to Goa Tourism authorities, Carnival float will parade in the cities of Margao, Vasco, Mapusa and Ponda while cultural shows and traditional dances will be organised across the state.

This Carnival was started around 80 year ago as a moderate local city event in February during British India time. Now Carnival has expanded over the years and now considers as one of the biggest cultural festival in India.

Goa Tourism authorities  are optimist for smooth flow of events all over the state of Goa and is aiming to ensure that Carnival gives tourists the essence of traditional Goa. Brass bands, colourful décor, and Carnival caricatures will be prominently displayed at all parade venues and across the state.

“Along with the parade, the annual Food and Cultural Festival is also scheduled from February 13 to 17, 2015. To add more spice to the event cultural programmes, music, dance performances, Goan folklore and culture will be showcased during the Food and Cultural Fest”, added Goa Tourism authorities.
