CSTO military exercises to take place near Tajik – Afghan border

Moscow, Russia: Joint military exercises of Collective Rapid Response Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO – ОДКБ) will take place near Tajik-Afghan border inside Tajikistan in November this year, reports Dispatch News Desk News Agency.

Joint military exercises will include aviation support of CSTO forces. Joint military exercises of Collective Rapid Response Forces will include military men from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.

According to well-placed sources, the theme of Joint military exercises of Collective Rapid Response Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO – ОДКБ) will be attacking supposed terrorists trying to enter Tajikistan from Afghan border.

The reason to hold Joint military exercises of Collective Rapid Response Forces of CSTO is to enhance and check capability of forces to counter any possibility of well-equipped and well-planned attempt of terrorists to enter central Asia from bordering Afghanistan where foreign terrorists are relocating from Middle East.

It is pertinent to mention that Defense Minister of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu held a detail meeting with Tajik Defense Minister Lieutenant-General Sherali Mirzo recently in Dushanbe and discussed forthcoming exercises in detail.

It is pertinent to mention that military formations of Russia and Tajikistan regularly participate in the maneuvers of the CSTO member states in different CSTO-member states.
