Chinese president arrives Caribbean Islands to discusss trade

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad: Chinese President Xi Jinping visits Caribbean to trade new sources of energy for his growing country. The Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

President Xi arrived Trinidad and Tobago on Friday for  state visit to the twin-island nation who is a leading supplier of natural gas. The Chinese embassy says in a statement that Xi will seek to deepen trade and investment in energy when he meets with Trinidadian Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar. He’ll also attend a ground breaking ceremony today for a hospital partially funded by China.

Trinidadremained a major exporter of natural gas to the US, which has dropped due to use of new exploration and drilling technology. Chinese president is also scheduled to visit Costa Rica, Mexico and the U.S. on this trip.
