Boat sinks in Indian Ocean, 105 on board feared dead

SYDNEY: A boat sank on Tuesday in the Indian Ocean, about 220 kilometers north of Christmas Island, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority said, Dispatch News Desk reported.

The authority said that around 105 persons were on board the boat who are believed to be asylum seekers.

According to reports, Australian officials are hurrying to rescue passengers from the water.
