Blast in southern China, 14 killed

BEIJING: At least 14 persons were killed and seven others injured when a blast occurred at an illegal gambling hall in a village in Guizhou province of southern China on Monday.

The Chinese state media reported that the blast took place at 2:30 pm on Monday (0630 GMT) in Laoshan village outside Kaili, a city in the poor southern province of Guizhou.
