Blast in northwest Pakistan injures seven policemen

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A remote-controlled bomb went off near a police mobile van in northwest Pakistan on Tuesday, injuring seven police personnel including Station House Officer (SHO).

The explosion which took place in Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan, a city in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, comes as the country celebrates Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, and strict security measures have been put in place across the country.
