The Amazing Race is an exceptional American show that fans love to a greater extend. The Amazing Race started in September 2001. The amazing race is an adventurous reality show where there are usually 11 or 12 teams that roam around the world. While roaming around the world, they have to complete certain tasks in several cities around the world. If a team wins, it moves to the next round. The Teams and Events

The show comprises 30-40 days journeys all around the world. There are 11 teams in the form of pairs. The challenge is to reach the final destination before any other team. The team that wins, gets the reward of $1 million. There are teams comprising of brothers, friends, dating, mother/ son, father/son, and many other close relationships.

All seasons of Amazing Race have 12 episodes. The episodes are divided into legs, meaning rounds. Each episode comprises events from one leg. After the end of each leg, the team reaches the Pit Stop where they get some rest. The teams can rest for 12 hours after which the next round begins. The team that reaches the Pit first is given a reward while the other is eliminated from the game. Some of the legs are non-eliminating. But, the losing team is penalized in the next leg.

In all seasons of Amazing Race, the teams have to travel large distances across the cities and countries. The show provides commercial and chartered planes, boats, trains, taxis, buses, vehicles, or sometimes the teams have to travel by foot. The producers give $100 dollars to each team before the event. They have t utilize that money to cover the expenses of traveling. If any amount stays unspent, they can save it to use later in other legs. The tasks highlight the cultures of different areas by letting the teams engage with the local people of the area.

The Tasks

Teams get clues from Route Marker Boxes to identify what they are supposed to do next. There are different colored tasks like red, blue, yellow, or white where there are tasks like detours, U-turns, speed bumps, Switchbacks, and several others. These indicators help the teams to fulfill their tasks. If any team fails to fulfill the tasks given by clues, the judges penalize the teams during the event or when they arrive at the Pit Stop.
