6 killed, 33 hurt as blast hits bus in Russia’s Volgograd

VOLGOGRAD: At least six persons were killed while 33 others sustained injuries in a blast that targeted a bus in the central Russian city of Volgograd, nearly 1,000km south-east of Moscow, Dispatch News Desk reported on Monday.

The national anti-terrorist committee confirmed that it was a terrorist act.

“Today at 14.05 Moscow time [10:05 GMT] in Volgograd inside a bus, as a result of an unknown explosive device going off, a blast happened, leading to casualties,” a national anti-terrorist Committee representative said.
