5 killed, 45 injured in train collision near Moscow

MOSCOW: At least five persons lost their lives and 45 others sustained injuries in a collision between a cargo train and a passenger train near Moscow on Tuesday.

The tragic accident happened when several cars of a cargo train derailed and hit a passenger train near Naro-Fominsk town, the Russian interior ministry said.

The passenger train was heading from Moscow to Chisinau, the capital of Moldova.
