44 killed in collision between bus, fuel tanker in India

HYDERABAD, India: A passenger bus collided with a fuel tanker in India’s Andhra Pradesh state early Wednesday, killing at least 44 persons, Dispatch News Desk reported.

The bus with 49 persons on board was travelling from Bangalore to Hyderabad when it met the incident on Bangalore-Hyderabad national highway.

The flames engulfed the entire bus while only five persons including the driver and the bus cleaner managed to save their lives as they broke windows and escaped.

Police and rescue teams started relief operations and shifted the injured to hospitals.
