 Pakistan attending fourth Saint Petersburg International Cultural Forum

Saint Petersburg, Russia: Pakistan is attending three-day fourth Saint Petersburg International Cultural Forum and the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting and National Heritage of Pakistan Senator Pervaiz Rashid has arrived in Petersburg and attended the opening of interactive exhibition “The territory of Culture”.

The Russian Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky led the opening of the exhibition. This exhibition tells about the achievements of Russian culture in recent 15 years. The exposition includes work of Ministry of culture along with other ministries.

The main purpose of the exhibition “The territory of Culture” is to demonstrate modern achievements of Russia in the sphere of culture, to introduce them as constantly developing project as well as to show the audience “the way to the future” with the denotation of cultural development directions in 2016.

High-ranking guests underlined the significance of such projects for closer acquaintance with achievements in the sphere of culture. A special attention Minister of Culture gave to the development of military-patriotic movement in Russia. Participants of the Forum also noticed innovative and progressive technologies used in modern museum projects.

Culture ministers of Abkhazia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Malta, Serbia, Italy, Malaysia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Afghanistan, Qatar, Palestine and South Sudan participated in the exhibition.

Besides, Director General UNESCO, top ranking representatives of the Russian government, head of diplomatic missions, heads of major museums and theatres, prominent figures from the world of art and experts in international cultural cooperation would also be participating in the forum.
