Thousands of Afghans protested against Pakistan in Sheberghan

Sheberghan, Afghanistan: Thousands of Afghanis protesters on Saturday rallied against Pakistan in the city of Sheberghan of northern Jawzjan province.

Chanting anti-Pakistan slogans, protesters blamed Pakistan for supporting terrorism in Afghanistan. Protesters including women vowed to take up arms against Pakistan.

Protesters were carrying placards having anti-Pakistan slogans including “Down to Pakistan” and “death to Pakistan”.

Protestors blamed Pakistan for promoting terrorism in Afghanistan and try to destabilize government of President Ashraf Ghani.

At the end of the protest, demonstrators issued a statement in support of the first vice-president Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum who claimed that Pakistan is directly involved in a gun battle between Taliban and Afghan security agencies in Faryab province. Pakistan has categorically dejected such claims. Pakistan has repeatedly denied interference in Afghanistan’s internal matters, assuring support for the peace process.
