18 Indian navy personnel killed after submarine catches fire, sinks

NEW DELHI: At least 18 Indian navy personnel were killed after a submarine caught fire after an explosion and sank early Wednesday in the coastal city of Mumbai, India’s defense minister said, Dispatch News Desk reported.

“I feel sad … about those navy personnel who lost their lives in the service of the country,” Defense Minister A.K. Antony told reporters outside parliament in New Delhi.
