Monitoring Desk: Russian female journalist Maria Galliano (Golovinina) found dead inside her house in sector F-8/2, Islamabad Pakistan on Monday, reports Dispatch News Desk news agency. Maria was the Bureau Chief of Reuters for Pakistan and Afghanistan. She was 34 year old.
According to initial reports Maria Galliano Golovinina was the Bureau chief of foreign news agency in Pakistan. Her body has been shifted to hospital for autopsy. Her body was found early morning but news was stopped and nothing was released to journalists as she is staff of world top news agency.
The news of her death was reportedly announced after getting permission from news agency office in United States.
According to a Pakistan Institute for Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital spokesman, the body of Maria Golovinina did not bear any torture marks. Her body will be sent for a post mortem and police will conduct an investigation into the death.
Hospital sources say that she was a young woman and her body had bluish spots so it could be a death due to poison or lack of oxygen in body— strangulation or some gases in the room. “Only autopsy report will judge the cause of the death but report shall not be shared with me as directed by some top people in Islamabad”, said sources.
