TEHRAN: The foreign ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) members countries are set to meet today (Monday) in Iran’s capital Tehran, the two-day meeting will focus on enhancing cooperation among the member countries in the economic‚ technical and cultural fields, Dispatch News Desk reported.
The meeting will also discuss ways to promote mutual collaboration in trade‚ energy‚ transport‚ environment and agriculture sectors.
Sartaj Aziz, adviser to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on foreign affairs and national security, is representing Pakistan in the meeting.
The advisor will also meet the top leadership of Iran to discuss the multi-billion dollars Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline on the sidelines of the ECO summit.
Aziz will also call on the Iranian president Hassan Rouhani besides holding meetings with other senior leaders of the country.
