Islamabad, Pakistan: Uzbekistan and Pakistan will share expertise in the field of cultural heritage, broadcasting and media sectors, reports Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency.
This was decided in a meeting held here on Wednesday between the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan Marriyum Aurangzeb and Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Pakistan Furqat Sidiqov. Both sides agreed to build long term constructive relations based on mutual interest.
Uzbekistan is promoting Pakistani culture on its state run televisions and promotes Urdu dramas with dubbing in Uzbek language.
Pakistan and Uzbekistan are closely related by history and cultural norms and Urdu language is strongly influence by Uzbek language. Both countries can take advantage of expertise in cultural development sector because Uzbekistan is popular for branding historic and cultural events for promoting tourism.
Uzbekistan has establishment air link with Pakistan last month and there are regular air flights operating between Lahore and Tashkent.
