Dubai, UAE: An intelligent Pakistani official has invented a new calendar in which February 2017 shall have 31 days instead of 28 days.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and its staff have always been genius, forward looking, futuristic and innovative.

The Council General of Dubai Embassy of Pakistan has developed a new calendar according to which February 2017 will have 31 days instead of normal length of 28 days as according to internationally recognized Gregorian calendar.

The Gregorian Calendar is a solar calendar based on a 365-day common year divided into 12 months of irregular lengths. 11 of the months have either 30 or 31 days, while the second month, February, has only 28 days during the common year.

However, nearly every four years is a leap year, when one extra – or intercalary – day, is added on 29 February, making the leap year in the Gregorian calendar 366 days long.

However, newly developed calendar is by a Pakistani Ahmed Shami who works as Council General of Pakistan in Dubai. He inaugurated this calendar having 31 days in February 2017 recently while extended validation of a passport in Dubai.

Ahmed Shami is a confident official who recent extended a Pakistani passport from January 31, 2017 to February 31, 2017.

Diplomatic circles of Dubai are of the view that new calendar should be named after its inventor and it should be called “Ahmed Shami Calendar”.
