Earthquake jolted southern Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan: An earthquake jolted the south of Kyrgyzstan on March 16, at 09:23 local time.
The earthquake was recorded by seismological station of the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of the Kyrgyz Republic as a 3.0 magnitude (Richter scale equation) earthquake in the epicenter.
According to preliminary data, the earthquake was located 5 km west of the village of Sary-Mogol, 40 km west of the village of Sary-Tash, and 95 km south of Osh. No casualties or damage reported.
