Astana, Kazakhstan: The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will discuss security issues in Central Asia with the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov during his official visit to Uzbekistan, the Office of Central Communications under the President of Kazakhstan informed. The Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
‘During the negotiations, it is expected to discuss the implementation of previous agreements at the highest level as well as the state and prospects of political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The heads of state will discuss the status and security issues in Central Asia’, the statement said.
According to the statement, it is also planned to sign a number of important bilateral and intergovernmental agreements. During the visit, the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will take part in the official opening of the new building of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan as well as a monument to Abai in Tashkent. The President of Kazakhstan will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on June 13-14 at the invitation of his Uzbek counterpart.
