Chinese President visiting India, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Tajikistan from next week
Dushanbe: Chines President Xi Jinping is touring India, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan and the Maldives from next week, reports Dispatch News Desk.
According to Chinese Foreign ministry, President Xi Jinping is touring India, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan and the Maldives from next week for signing bilateral agreements with these countries. Chinese President postponed his visit to Pakistan due to political turmoil in Islamabad.
Xi, also the General Secretary of the ruling Communist Party of China, will attend a Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit and visit four countries later this month, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang announced on Tuesday.
At the invitation of President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President Xi Jinping will attend the 14th Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Heads of State Council to be held in Dushanbe,Tajikistan from September 11 to 12.
At the invitation of President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Maldives Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa as well as President of the Republic of India Pranab Mukherjee, President Xi Jinping will pay state visits to the aforementioned 4 countries from September 12 to 19.
